BioWare's Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk Step Down
Electronic Arts said today that long-time BioWare executives Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk are stepping down from the company. Muzyka says he focusing on a brand new entrepreneurial challenge while Zeschuk is spending time with his family.
The duo originally co-founded BioWare back in 1995 and most notably created the Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights series on PC. The Edmonton-based studio later created two popular hits with Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire. In 2005, BioWare and Pandemic Studios entered into a partnership with private equity firm Elevation Partners. The group was later purchased by Electronic Arts two years later.
Over the past five years, BioWare develop key franchises Mass Effect and Dragon Age. The studio, which has since grown to six locations worldwide, also created Star Wars: The Old Republic.
