Borderlands 2 DLC May Sail To The Desert

Borderlands 2 has four DLC packs coming shortly after the game's release on Tuesday, but we don't know anything about their contents. According to Randy Pitchford, executive producer of Borderlands 2, at least one of them may look something like the opening of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

"I've always wanted to ride a sail barge and drive a sand skiff. I've always wanted to do that, and we've got some cool stuff that's along those lines," said Pitchford.

Sounds cool to me.

  • Sounds awesome. Count me in.
  • DLC for Borderlands 1 was really fun. I have no doubt DLC for this one will be even better!

  • This is a maybe for me. Only certain games grab my early dlc attention.
  • If anyone still needs someone to play this game with add me on PSN, same username as on here, thanks! :)
  • GOD BORDERLANDS I WANT IT SO MUCH!!!

  • Please let it involve mounted machine guns and shooting at sand worms. The whole thing sounds awesome, but give me both of those and I will be crazy happy.

  • Borderlands? Star Wars? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Count me in!!

  • I thought they were trying to get away from the sand and dirt aspect of the first one. Not that I really care has long has it adds something new to the experience I can't wait.
  • That would be rather neat.

  • Pitchford!
  • Dang it, I have the game pre ordered and ready to go and it will be sitting on my hard drive until my replacement GPU gets here. At least I won't have to wait long to enjoy these DLC packs, and they don't seem to be going the day one on disc DLC route, which I can appreciate.

  • Whatever Gearbox does I'm sure it will be fun. Following Star Wars for ideas isn't a bad choice.

  • Less than 24 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I want this. Naow.

  • If its anything like borderlands 1 DLC, ill be all over it.

  • I want the dlc soon, but not too soon. They need to space it out enough that we are we ready for it, but aren't shelling out to much money too quickly. It's a tough balancing act.
  • Star Wars and Borderlands, a combination for the ages!!!

  • 3 out of the 4 DLC packs for Borderlands were incredible. There was so much content for so little money. Each of those DLC packs had 20 or more hours worth of content in them, and you were only paying $10 for them. Gearbox knows how to treat its customers right. I have every ounce of faith in their ability to sell me some incredible DLC. I never, ever buy DLC. I hate the thought of DLC, I hate the scams 99% of publishers like Ubisoft regularly try and sell as DLC. Heck, Ubisoft is the company that officially convinces me to never buy any DLC again after they admitted to gutting the Assassins Creed games when they were finished in order to sell the gutted missions as DLC. However, when Gearbox is involved, I'll buy whatever DLC they offer me. Same goes for Valve, who also treats its customers extremely well with their DLC. Everyone else can suck it.
  • DLC great! but it can wait, just get me borderlands 2!

  • Just don't give me any Mad Moxxi style horde modes in the DLC and I can almost guarantee I will love them.
