New Resident Evil 6 Demo Incoming

Capcom said today it's releasing a new demo of Resident Evil 6 that features content from the three main campaigns, either solo or co-op. The content differs from the demo previously released with Dragon's Dogma.

The new demo arrives on September 18 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Play as either Leon S. Kennedy or Helena Harper and further explore the dark corridors and moonlit grounds of Ivy University, swarming with the victims of the latest bioterrorist attack.

The action in Jake’s mission switches to the neon-lit streets of Lanshiang as he and Sherry Berkin fight off the J’avo, including their fully mutated forms. Be sure to check out Jake’s special hand-to- hand combat moves and Sherry’s stun baton as you struggle to stay alive.

Showcasing Resident Evil 6’s global setting, Chris Redfield and Piers Nivans head with fellow BSAA team members to the war-ravaged streets of Edonia. The amassed J’avo forces provide a stiff enough challenge, but that’s before the 3-story high B.O.W. Ogroman crashes the party. Select Piers for a slightly different weapons loadout than Chris including a sniper rifle with thermal scope.

Capcom also said the Dragon's Dogma demo for PlayStation 3 is available on September 5 via a download token. Resident Evil 6 releases on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 across Europe and North America on October 2. A PC version will follow soon, Capcom says.

Comments
  • Will be too busy with Borderlands 2
  • Cool. I've never played a Resident Evil game.
  • Hahaha sweet just sweet.
  • I'm eager to play RE6 so I hope the camera and loose controls aren't a problem anymore in the new demo.

Edit: Action horror (dramatic horror, whatever the **** you want to call it) is its own genre now, survival horror, where you at?
  • No thanks, I'll pass after the last one. Plus, I'll be way too busy blowing s*** up in Borderlands 2 haha.
  • This is awesome news. I had hoped they would make the comic con demos they showed available to play before it comes out. I can't wait to finally get to play RE6.

  • will play, they better have fixed the issues or ill cancel my pre order
  • I really cannot wait to get my hands on this! I'm sure I'll be playing the hell out of it until the game releases. ^_^
  • I'll be too busy with Borderlands 2 and Armored Kill.

  • Looking forward to playing this... Not expecting the greatest RE to ever release, but it should still be a good game.

  • Seems like I'll be practicing in the previous demo again. But first, Hearthfire.

  • Wow why is it the same day as boderlands 2

  • Looking forward to it

  • I wonder if they purposely scheduled this demo release date the same day as Borderlands 2. Sorry Resident Evil..the wub wub filled Borderlands 2 comes first!
  • Maybe I'll check it out during the my rare downtime from Borderlands 2.

  • Won't mind trying the demo, especially since I'll apparently be one of the few not bothering with Borderlands 2.
  • I'll try it
  • Can't wait to check it out. I never had the chance to play the other demo.

  • While I am just as excited to play bl2 as the next guy, I will definitely play the RE6 demo when it releases. It wont kill me to take 30-45 mins out of my BL2 playtime to try out the demo. This will be the deciding factor as to whether I buy it or not. Guys stop acting like impatient children and play it. If you bought BL2 it's not going anywhere.. It'll be there.. Sheesh.
