Square Enix Fools Everyone With A Final Fantasy Dating Sim

by Kyle Hilliard on Sep 02, 2012 at 07:12 AM

As part of its 25th Anniversary Final Fantasy celebration, Square Enix presented a Final Fantasy dating sim, but it was all an elaborate prank.

The fake game comes from the Hajime Tabata, the director of the PSP titles The 3rd Birthday and Final Fantasy Type-0, the latter of which never actually released here in North America. The game's full title is Tokimeki Final Fantasy: Suzaku Magic Institution Peristylium ~ Oh no! I’m in Love With the Crystal’s Divine Guardian. It may be fake, but Tabata certainly put a lot of thought into the game. You can see the presentation for the game below.

My guess is that some day it will be real, and it will be for mobile devices. And we will never see it here in North America.
