The fan created Half-Life remake, Black Mesa, has been in development for quite some time, and it looks like we will finally be able to get our hands on it a little bit later this month.

A countdown timer has appeared on pointing to something happening in about 12 days, and a posting on the game's message boards by the project leader confirms a September 14 release date.

The release on September 14 won't be the full game, but it is a large portion of the experience. It will be everything up to the Lambda core, which is approximately the first eight hours of the game.

You can also go ahead and grab the soundtrack for the game with the pay whatever you want pricing structure.
