The lights are on
During Ted Price's PAX Prime keynote, the Insomniac co-founder announced an all-new intellectual property, Fuse.
We happen to know that Fuse is a reworking of Overstrike, the 4-player co-op title that Insomniac announced during E3 2011. It seems that the title has been overhauled since then. Insomniac Games also tweeted out the above screenshot. The FuseGame website currently features a countdown clock that expires on September 12, so we should be getting more details then.
In the meantime check out the announce trailer of Overstrike from last year:
Email the author Ben Reeves, or follow on Twitter, Google+, Facebook, and Game Informer.
I really hope they don't change the tone of the game along with the name. I do realize, however, that changing the name of the project is usually an attempt to disassociate the new product with the old, so in all likelihood the nature of the IP is going to be much different.
I liked Overstrike better than Fuse. Too bad....
That's a long time to have a countdown.
Wonder why it went through an overhaul, I thought it looked awesome.
I would have to say that this trailer -for me at least- has made me the most excited for a game ever. Love the feel of the game that they portrayed.
