New Professor Layton For 3DS In Japan
Today in Japan, developer Level-5 announced what it says is Layton's last adventure – Professor Layton Choubunmei to A no Isan. Don't worry though, we don't think the series itself is going away anytime soon.
The game was introduced during the Nintendo Direct presentation, and looks to follow the same puzzle-filled format of its predecessors.
No U.S. date has been announced for the title.
Although Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino called this game (due out in Japan in 2013) Layton's "last adventure," it is believed that he is referring to the title being the last game in the series' second trilogy. We'll have to wait and see exactly what he means. Meanwhile, we're still waiting for Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney.
The next Layton title for the U.S. is Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask (above), which is due for the 3DS on October 28.
