Borderlands 2 Comparison Video Shows The Advantage Of GeForce GTX

Along with getting a healthy dose of gameplay footage from Borderlands 2, this video also offers a compelling argument as to why you might want to play Borderlands 2 on PC.

The game looks great regardless of where you are playing it, but with GeForce GTX, fabric and water physics become much more impressive. Take a look at the video below.

Borderlands to is heading to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC September 18.

  • What matters is where your friends are at.
  • Great, now My friends need PC's. Guess i will have to buy BL2 for xbox and PC now
  • That's cool! But I'm still gonna get it for the PS3.

  • Looks pretty close to the same.
  • While certainly cool, I find the style matters far more to me then the fidelity. It still looks like a cartoon either way (which is awesome), so a few more realistic physics tweaks aren't enough to sway me away from the platform the majority of my friend's list will be on.

  • This was an informative video...last Tuesday.
  • Was getting on PC regardless. Hurrah for my Nvidia card.
  • It looks nice, but I really don't care if it looks nice, which is why I still use consoles.

  • I am assuming the crappy looking one is also on par with the console version, which is BS. I've seen games look 10x more amazing then that on a console. I am not saying the consoles should be able to render all those hundreds of floating pebbles spinning in a pointless physics funnel, but at least give us grass! I don't care that this is an massive-world multilayer game, it should at least be able to render grass. This is 2012.
  • I don't give a damn if a floor or wall has a slightly better texture, I game on consoles because of the ease-of-use.
  • Wow...

  • Just got my Geforce 680 last week. Now I'm even happier I did
  • I have the NIVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti with 2gb GDDR5 Mem. Will it look some what like the Better game in that video?
  • though the graphics are stunning, i think that what matters most is what kind of experience you want. i like the feel of a controller more than a gamepad or keyboard. however i love the new water, fabric and particle effects.
  • I saw this on another site a while ago, but I was definitely impressed. I'd love to get this for PC just like when Batman: Arkham Asylum had a similar video but everyone I know that will be playing the game is on the 360 so console it is for me. I'm a console gamer mainly anyway, but this always makes me sad a bit that I'll be missing out on the little extras that certainly can help. Oh well, best to just forget I watched this. On a side note, am I incorrect in thinking the original was really disliked on the PC for multiple reasons? Hopefully PC players get a better playing product this time and not just a better looking one.
  • Did anyone else watch this to just see more gameplay?
  • With GeForce: awesome

    Without GeForce: awesome

  • I can run the crap out of this game (GTX 670), but I'm still getting it on 360 to play with my buddies.

  • What if I have an ATI card on my PC?
  • I can definitely see the difference, but it's not significant enough for me to care. Show me a night and day, mind blowing advantage for the PC version and I'll be jealous. This isn't doing it. Regardless, I can't wait to play it.
