The lights are on
Update: Square Enix confirmed a new version of The World Ends With You for iPhone and iPad. It has HD art, a new combat system, and new songs and remixes. It hits the Apple App store tomorrow in Japan and is priced at $18 for the iPhone version and $20 for iPad. No word yet on a release in North America.
Head over to the official website to see more and check out the Japanese trailer below.
Original Story: Square Enix's mysterious countdown timer reveal seems to have been spoiled early. A new listing on the publisher's e-shop store in Japan revealed a new release of the game's soundtrack as well as an iOS port, according to reports.
The description of the iOS version has been removed since being discovered yesterday. According to Andrisang, the port includes new music, which is also available on the soundtrack.
The countdown timer ends tomorrow morning. We'll update this story if there are more details.
TWEWY's the best DS game ever made. I'm glad that people that may not own a DS for some reason will get to play this.
Apparently that is all Square has to announce...just the *** iOS port....*** YOU SQUARE ENIX!!
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu..., I haven't been this disappointed since Capcom decided not to localize Miles Edgeworth 2.
Whoa O_o. Interesting.... Is the only word I put on that.
That's pretty cool, I guess...Still would've liked a sequel, but this might hold me over for a while.
Biggest dissapointment EVER
You think this is bad?
It can only be run on an iPhone 4/S.
A nice reason to buy an iPad, let's see how they work the single screen out.
Eh, call me when it is on Android.
I guess 18 dollars is reasonable, but I don't think I'll get it.
I want, can't find for the DS
Finally, I will be playing this for sure.
This is a great trailer but this crap Enix did disappointed alotta gamers. This only works for people who are die hard iOS gamers.
They should have made a Tin Pin Slammer ios/android game.
So zetta disappointing.
The original, on the DS, was a great game. Weird and Japanese-y, but anyone who's ever actually been to Shibuya gets the vibe of it (oh yeah, I said it). I loved it, and I'd love to see it in HD, with new music and stuff... but am I alone in thinking that a Vita version would be absolute la-bomba?! Multiple interfaces that could be used to INFINITE effect with the pins, and gorgeous screen, social networking ability... it honestly sounds like Vita was made JUST for this game!!
