The lights are on
Dark Souls for PC ships with a fixed rendering resolution of 1024x720. One modder fixed that. NeoGAF user Durante released a mod shortly after the game's release today that enables a higher internal rendering resolution.
So far, everything seems to be gravy. Dark Souls never looked better! Durante offers this warning, though:
So far, this has only been tested on my computer, on the first half hour or so of the game. I can not and will not guarantee that it will work for anyone else, or not have any adverse effect on your game/computer. Use at your own risk! If you encounter any issues that seem like they could be caused by DSfix, let me know.
Check out Durante's website below for installation instructions.
Look for our review sometime next week.
Great news, I'll check this out ASAP.
On another note to anyone considering picking this up, the keyboard and mouse configuration is atrocious, it's pretty much a must to have a xbox 360 gamepad to play this game(which even ingame w/ KB&M it still refers to the 360 gamepad layout).
I am impressed, deeply impressed, the first mod wasn't a difficulty changer. Way to go internets!
Mods are what PC games were made for. Let them come. ;-)
Testet and work ok! Very nice job !
I'm just waiting for the added content to come out on Xbox.
read interesting good only pc
I can't help but wonder why they did not implement this in the first place?
Cue the "this is why pc is better!" fanboy's lol
