PopCap Games announced a sequel to its hit franchise, appropriately named Plants vs. Zombies 2, for release next year. PopCap is not sharing any details about the title at the moment, other than to say that it's coming out in late Spring of 2013.

Even though nobody knows exactly what's going to be in the game yet, it's safe to say that the franchise's format likely won't change any time soon.

I sure hope that the versus isn't one-sided anymore. Other than that, I MIGHT just buy it.....

I just hope it's not the first game but with new levels, plants and zombies. That would just suck.

Plants vs Zombies is definitely the best form of time-killer in a boring office hours. It doesn't just serve as a distraction, but rather, an obsession! Can't wait to see its sequel hitting our gadgets next year! :)
