The world's most pretentious pop punk band is getting set to release three new albums (Lord, help us), and to celebrate they are making an appearance in Rovio's Facebook game Angry Bird Friends. In a set of 10 new levels, you'll be able to see pig likenesses of band members Billy Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool, hear the debut of the song "Troublemaker" as well as the first single "Oh Love." Unfortunately, you won't be able to learn what lyrics like "I'm wearing my heart on a noose" mean. Remember when these guys just sang three-minute Descendants ripoffs about masturbation? You know is a damn shame? Old Green Day is fantastic. Literally amazing. "Dookie" and "Insomniac" are two of my favorite albums of all time. Pop punk has never seen better days than during this period with both Green Day and Blink 182 dropping amazing albums in the late 90's. Now, Green Day is laughable at best and impossible to listen once they met with the 2000's. Brings a *** tear to my eye to learn this. It's just... Sad.

Reiner, I like your unbiased reporting. But seriously, I think you underestimate how talented Green Day is. Do you realize how hard it is to recycle the same 3 power cord progressions across dozens of albums? Plus they have shown growth, going from songs about masturbation to uneducated, out of touch political albums.
