The lights are on
DeviantART artist rollingrabbit has a number of really impressive video game related pieces (that you should totally check out). These two give you a pretty great idea of what to expect!
The Hero Crossing Death Mountain might look familiar. That’s because it is inspired by Jacques-Louis David’s Napoleon Crossing the Alps. We think she nailed it.
Super Sisters are inspired by... well... we think you can figure it out.

Wow, I would love to see them make a poster out of the "Hero Crossing Death Mountain"! I can just imagine it hanging proudly on my wall, inviting the defeat of Ganon! Wait. . . are they saying Link's a little tyrannical. . .?
NO WAY. That is too amazing to even exist. Thanks for sharing this, Gardner! I've already looked at a lot of her work and it's unbelievable.
nice art share
I agree that it sounds incredibly sexist of me, but I can't help that my first thought of the Super Sisters is that it looks like they're about to clean something.

Impressive.
Great pieces. A really talented artist
While it might be impossible to deduce what inspired the autor to do Super Sisters, I dare to say that The Hero Crossing Death Mountain is based on the Legend of Zelda.
I like getting lost in Deviant Art, I too tend to be drawn to video game inspired artworks. There really are a lot of talented people out there.
Am I the only one who noticed that it's the one who can jump higher that was given a skirt?
They're both really well done, I definitely applaud the artist!
Love Deviant Art. Alot of talented people on there, like the one who drew these.
