Stardock Sues Former Employee

by Jim Reilly on Aug 17, 2012 at 11:44 AM

Stardock filed a lawsuit against former marketing manager Alexandra Miseta alleging she deleted, destroyed, and/or stole materials for the game Elemental:War of Magic after she quit her job without notice.

Miseta allegedly quit her job just weeks before the game's release in August 2010 and that the materials she destroyed were vital to the game's success, Stardock says. The materials allegedly included marketing material, analytical data, and trade show information. She also allegedly did not return her work laptop and ran side businesses during work hours.

Stardock is seeking damages of over $1,000,000. The company declined to offer comment on the lawsuit. Elemental: War of Magic was famously panned by critics for its lack of polish and required patching upon its release.
