The lights are on
Crytek has released a dual-purpose trailer that shows off Crysis 3, as well as its state-of-the-art CryEngine 3. The video breaks down some of the engine's highlights, including volumetric fog, advanced lighting, and one of the best-looking toads in all of gaming.
The video below is an impressive look at what modern PCs are capable of. Crytek has been saying that their CryEngine 3 is essentially next-gen tech today, though console players will clearly have to wait until the metaphorical tomorrow to get anything close to the demo's fidelity. Here's a look at what Crytek is calling out in the video:
If the above features sound like a bunch of gibberish, here's one thing everyone can appreciate. CryEngine 3 is capable of producing the best-looking toad in the business via top-secret tessellated toad tech.

Good lord, it actually says top secret tessalated toad tech. Thats fantastic!
It is time to upgrade my graphics card!
Sure Ill get this game to watch the frogs
Thuh toad of the ages haha love it
That is one good-looking toad
That is amazing. The destroyed architecture and organic look of the game is beautiful. Also, the msuic. I didn't like Crysys 2's soundtrack, and by that I mean I can barely remember it, and the parts I do remember were pretty average. But before it goes all techno, it sounded beautiful and really fit in with the destroyed city and vibrant vegetation. I hope that's the way they're going for Crysis 3.
Great. Now I'm all worried about what this will do to my computer.
Whoa!!! That's insanely nice. I hope the storyline is as good as the graphics.
Lookin better than ever
