The lights are on
Crytek has released a dual-purpose trailer that shows off Crysis 3, as well as its state-of-the-art CryEngine 3. The video breaks down some of the engine's highlights, including volumetric fog, advanced lighting, and one of the best-looking toads in all of gaming.
The video below is an impressive look at what modern PCs are capable of. Crytek has been saying that their CryEngine 3 is essentially next-gen tech today, though console players will clearly have to wait until the metaphorical tomorrow to get anything close to the demo's fidelity. Here's a look at what Crytek is calling out in the video:
If the above features sound like a bunch of gibberish, here's one thing everyone can appreciate. CryEngine 3 is capable of producing the best-looking toad in the business via top-secret tessellated toad tech.

The folks at Crytek have always been advanced graphical masterminds, since the original Far Cry(it was made by Crytek not Ubisoft) to the Crysis series, they always push PC's and consoles to their limits.
This game will look even better when the graphics mods are made for it.
Out of everything in that trailer, the toad still steals the show. Seriously though, I'm loving the graphics made possible by CryEngine 3.
Gorgeous
Crysis 3 is looking really good graphically. I hope it holds its own during multiplayer.
