Konami Cancels Silent Hill HD Xbox 360 Patch

Konami announced the PlayStation 3 version of the Silent Hill HD patch was made available to download last month. Xbox 360 owners? You're out of luck.

The publisher confirmed it has canceled the Xbox 360 patch for the game due to technical issues and resources. "Konami apologizes to any players who are continuing to experience these issues on the Xbox 360 sku," they said in a statement.

The patch fixed a number of framerate and audio-sync issues.

Unfortunately, I am losing faith in the Xbox the more articles like these come out. I haven't been happy to say I own an Xbox 360 in god knows how long, it is just disappointing. This probably isn't Microsoft's fault, but I just thought I'd throw in my two cents...

... which, probably wasn't necessary either.

I always thought technical issues were the reason you patched a game... Konami really does have some silly logic. It's obvious they believe that the Xbox is a Metal Gear and must be defeated.

So they can't fix a completely broken game and yet they actually plug it at the end of the same sentence. Screw off, Komani, seriously. One of your key franchises gets treated like you don't even care about it. Everyone, do yourselves a favor and just play or track down the original versions of these games instead.

With Dawnguard issues on PS3 and Silent Hill HD issues patch cancelled on 360, looks like it's a pretty even problem.
