The lights are on
Developer Superbot Entertainment confirmed PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will support arcade sticks when the game launches in October. "By default, nearly all DualShock 3 controller commands are assigned to the same buttons on an arcade stick," Superbot says. "The joystick takes care of the character's movement and combines with the Square, Triangle, and Circle buttons to perform the full range of 24 unique attacks."
The team added, "Joystick inputs behave exactly the same as DualShock 3 D-pad inputs would, so arcade stick functionality is natively supported in PlayStation All-Stars. They said the only exception is the throw command, which uses the Right Stick on the Dual Shock. "With an arcade stick, throws are simply performed with an easy button combination, similar to many traditional fighting games."
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale releases October 23.
Awesome. I don't like arcade sticks personally but I know there's a big group that love them more than their children...
Always wanted to play Smash Bros. with an arcade stick, or at least try it out. But, I suppose this will have to do.
Certainly an interesting development...
That is actually pretty cool. I wonder how it would play with an arcade stick. I might have to try it out.
Well that's good
I haven't used an arcade stick since actually going to arcades.
