PS3 Assassin's Creed 3 Lands Exclusive Hour Of Content

According to box art posted on Amazon UK, the PlayStation 3 version of Assassin's Creed 3 includes an additional hour of content that you won't find in any other version at launch. No other details are known at this time.

All of my Assassin's Creed time has gone into Xbox 360 versions. An hour of additional content is going to be hard to turn down. If this exclusive content is comparable in quality to the gameplay I've seen so far, this could be a big win for Sony.

  • Hmmm. . . would this extra hr. of content include what would otherwise be future DLC?. . . I was planning on maybe experiencing this game on Wii U, but this might sway me, along with its potential trophies. (1st!)
  • Interesting. I've been getting these for 360 (mainly for continuity, but the one's I've played on ps3 have seemed somewhat less appealing graphically), and am not likely to switch my pre-order over this. The AC games haven't had anything approaching...thrilling DLC.
  • Would be cool if they specified lol either way, I hate when they do exclusive things for popular games. I never got a bunch of the Oblivion add-ons I would have gladly paid for, had to wait a looong time for the IV DLCs, and am have been waiting for Dawnguard since they announced it. No fun at all :/
  • Hate this crap. I'm not getting the full game because of this?
  • Nice, glad ps3 is my system of choice for this series.
  • This might seem like a silly question but can you only access this content via pre-order? Or will all PS3 ACIII games have it post launch?
  • well... that sucks.
  • an hour of exclusive content? I'm pretty sure I'll dash through it in half the time.
  • boo.

  • I will buy it
  • It's becoming laughable! The things companies do to get the edge. What happened to just making an amazing game and letting everyone experience the total package? I understand it but I sure don't like it.

  • Just as well. I've stopped buying Ubisoft games for the PC so I would have to skip this title anyway.
  • Well that's a pretty good deal. I feel bad for the 360 owners though. As a gamer who respects all games, I wish everyone could experience everything.
  • Won't change the fact 360 is the best console gaming experience to date. And I played assassins creed 2- revelation on ps3. I got Borderlands on ps3, but I might go 360 on the sequel despite extras for beating the first. The online experience is superior on Xbox live.
  • This could be my birthday present! woohoo!

  • You need to sleep Andrew

  • So sick of the Exclusive and timed DLC/Content for multiplatform games... Exclusive games are one thing, it helps establish a platforms identity (I would never expect Master Chief in a PS3 game or Nathan Drake on XBOX), but for a multiplatform game (I'm looking at you MW3!) to purposly withold parts of the game from it's fans, just shines a light on how petty and ridiculous the industry is becoming
  • That's really gay. Kinda done playing that series anyway.
  • I'll have to see what it is. As it is, developers love to say their product is X amount of hours long, and it rarely is. An hour of content is pretty variable, and unless it's free DLC, that's not worth paying for later when it does become available.
