The closest thing we've heard about a new Prince of Persia was a cancelled reboot in 2010. But today this screenshot appeared in a Ubisoft message board claiming to part of a re-reboot.

There is no evidence to support the authenticity of this image, but it would be pretty exciting if it were a new Prince of Persia. I am a big fan of the series and would love to see a new entry. I would really like to see a sequel to the Prince of Persia from 2008, but I don't think that is a widely shared sentiment.

I do believe that there is a handheld DS sequel to the 2008 PoP, Kyle. And I doubt this is legit. Ubisoft is usually one for more flare whit their bigger series. If anything it looks like an Assassin's Creed shot. Maybe from an early build of the newer one? IDK.

I have a couple of Prince of Persia games but rarely pop them in......I always am on the fence about trading them in but I never have, simply because I feel like I didnt give them a great enough chance........Mostly the 2008 one, I'll have to actually play it thoroughly one day.

I liked the 2008 PoP as well Kyle. Sadly, a lot of people seemed turned off by the new direction they were going.

Looks like AC 1. Well they are both made by the same devs, so I'm not surprised. I'm glad they are moving in this direction, the newest one was pretty casual and not the greatest.

Also, you should update the article with this. These PoP screen shots for a trailer were leaked in May, and they looked awfully similar to the picture in the article.

I want a continuations of the 2008 POP storyline. They can't just leave us on a cliffhanger like that (really need to pick up that sequel on the DS).

I'd also like a sequel to the 08 game, just so I can see how they mess up another ending and have the main character learn absolutely nothing. Dan Harmon's story circles would be disappoint.

Intresting.. Well, this screenshot look like Prince of Persia or Assassin creed,but Assassin Creed 3 is coming out soon,so i'm guessing this can be the Prince of Persia reboot or a new game series from Ubisoft ?
