The lights are on
Player subscriptions for World of Warcraft has dropped to 9.1 million worldwide, Activision Blizzard announced today. Last quarter, total subscribers were at 10.2 million. It's not all bad for Blizzard, however. Diablo III has sold more than 10 million copies since launch. 1.2 million of those came from the World of Warcraft Annual Pass.
The upcoming World of Warcraft expansion, Mists of Pandaria, launches September 25, 2012.
Only real reason for the drop in subs is this empty zone at the end of the expansion.
I'm very confident WoW will again rise over 12 million, considering this is probably the most interesting Expansion they've ever had really, when you weigh up all that's included.
Get over the "Pandas" they are drunken badasses, with actual Lore in the universe of Azeroth.
i think that wow used to be great and then just many things in life it became old news. it happens to many games and they survive.
Panda's will bring at least .4 million of them back.
oh,how the mighty have started falling...
Never got into WoW. So whatevs. Don't care. Herp-derp.
I think the game could have gone fine enough without the panda addition.
I don't think the Pandas seemed like a good idea to many people. Personally, I think it's amusing.
Awh... That suckx.
After the Lich King, it went down hill. Things like went to fast. With LK they had a huge story behind it, that connected to a bunch of thing, but with Cata, they just pulled this out of nothing, and added nothing to it. LK they added a bunch of thing,( as in patches), like Tournament, and the Falling. Then Cata just comes in, bringing great new graphic, and that was it, they brought in the Falling to DW, and that was it. They didn't keep a story going for cata, and brought them to this. This new expansion, i don’t think will cut it.
