Mass Effect 3 A Wii U Launch Title

Electronic Arts confirmed Mass Effect 3 will be a launch title for the Wii U when it arrives this holiday. The port features a new control scheme to take advantage of the Wii U Gamepad.

This version also includes multiplayer, bonus download content, including the Extended Cut ending, as well as the interactive back stories for Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 where your decisions will carry over into Mass Effect 3.

  • I am looking forward to seeing a game like Mass Effect come to the Wii U.

  • Honestly, I don't see the point in this. I admire the fact that Nintendo is now wanting to get in the loop now, but adding Mass Effect 3 to that loop is just unethical. Batman: Arkham CIty was already going a bit far, being that it will have been released a year earlier by the time it is released on Wii U, but Mass Effect 3...just no. I couldn't even see the point of Mass Effect 2 on PS3. To me, it's because, and I hate to seem selfish, it's a bit unfair to people who bought Mass Effect 1 on Xbox 360 and played through it and made these very important decisions, some which were available only if you had a lot of experience points and level-ups. It's unfair because PS3 and Wii U owners can buy the ME2 or ME3 and fly through "Genesis," making decisions Xbox 360 players made in ME1 with ease and in a matter of 15-30 minutes. On the other hand, it's also unfair to PS3 owners and Wii U owners because they didn't get to play ME1 or ME1 AND ME2 because it wasn't released on the system, respectively. The whole idea of releasing a game originally exclusive to one console later on on another console so other players can experience it is corrupt no matter how you look at it. It'd be the same thing (although not entirely) in releasing Uncharted or Killzone on Xbox 360 right now. It wouldn't be all that relevant, either. I own a PS3 and Xbox 360, so I am definitely not being biased, or not trying to be anyway. And I am very stoked to get the Wii U, and I will get AC III on Wii U because it's going to be coming out around that time anyway, but I stick to my beliefs that if a game or game series was originally exclusive to one console, leave it that way.
  • Sweet. More old games. Way to go Ninty. God, they have to be the worst company for release games on a new system.

  • THIS IS *** EA not Nintendo quit blaming Nintendo FOR THIRD PARTIES decision. EA said for themselves that EA key franchises will be coming to Wii U not Nintendo. Stupid Close Minded PS360 gamers are frisking annoying. It not about Wii U ported games it about the exclusives. ZombiU Rayman Legend Scribblenaults Ulimited Nintendo Land New Super Mario Bros. U Pikmin 3 Super Smash Bros. 4 Game and Wario Lego City Undercover Project P-100 Stupid graphic whore. When Wii U launch and it sells 200,000 Million Plus or more during launch week I want all you anti-Nintendo haters to cry me a river of cash.
  • If the comic is as good as the one on the second one than this should be pretty good. I still don't plan at getting it since I have all three games on my Xbox but it still would be pretty nice if you don't own any of the current generation systems.

  • cool

  • Here's what's being drooled from people's minds on Wii U:

"The Wii U is stupid because it has ports of games that are already out."

You need to stop playing all the following systems (at least) because

The DS got ports of GBA games.
The 3DS got ports of DS games.
The PSP got ports of PS2 games.
The Wii got ports of PS2/Xbox/GameCube games.
The GameCube got ports of Playstation & Dreamcast games.
The Dreamcast got ports of Playstation/N64 games.
The Xbox 360 had ports of Xbox/GameCube/PS2 games.
The PS3 received late-release ports of Xbox 360 games.

It's fine to be skeptical of the Wii U, but it would be nice to see gamers at least be smart enough to have THOUGHTFUL skepticism. Complaining that it has games that are already out is just plain stupid--and only goes to show how little one personally knows of the history of console launches.

This complaining is simply showing your true colors--you want to hate the Wii U just because you prefer hating things rather than having an open mind. You fear change or anything new.

Frankly, every single person complaining about how they want "the next generation already" should be picking up the Wii U at launch. Regardless of the games on it, or it's seemingly relatively small leap forward technologically, it's the first of the next.
  • People don't buy next gen systems to play last gen games. This is just going to make wii u look like a ps3 or xbox360.NEW PLAY CONTROL games! Now were have I heard that before?
