Planetside 2 Beta Beginning Very Soon

According to Sony Online Entertainmet, the beta for Planetside 2 is set to begin on either this coming Friday or Monday, pending any unforseen complications.

The information about who gets to enter the beta first is a bit dense, so I thought it would be best to just tell you exactly what we were told:

"External Beta invites will be sent out in waves on an as needed basis, with priority given to active Planetside subscribers, inactive past subscribers and then Priority Beta Code and opt-in registrants, in that order. Invitations to the External Beta will automatically be sent via email to the address associated with the Station Account utilized to register for Beta participation on Planetside2.com."

In fewer words, if you signed up for the beta, keep an eye on your e-mail. You could be receiving a code soon. For more on Planetside 2, click here.

I remember the first Planetside,it had a great start but it was then destroyed by horrible patches that took out all the good stuff the game had to offer.

Alright guys. I want to get into PC gaming. I've always played on consoles, so I have no idea how PC gaming works. Can someone comment/send me a message explaining the basic stuff surronding PC gaming? Stuff like where you download games, how much they cost, how many players can play against each other, Some of the best games to play, How an MMO works, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for helping a Newb!
