Full Return Of Tony Hawk Series Possible
Fans were excited when Activision and developer Robomodo announced that they would be releasing an update to the game that started it all: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. Despite mixed reviews, this may be just the beginning for a full revival of the franchise.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD sold over 120,000 copies in its first week on sale on Xbox Live (PS3 and PC versions are on the way), and this has emboldened Activision and Robomodo to contemplate a return to regular installments for the series since its ceremonious divestment in 2010. Robomodo CEO Josh Tsui told Gamasutra that because of the game's sales, "the prospect of a fuller game is definitely on the table – it's just a matter of when and how."
Tsui didn't go into specifics or expand upon his comment, but clearly we could see more from the franchise in the future.
