EA Appoints New Executive Vice President

by Jeff Marchiafava on Jul 31, 2012 at 06:13 AM

Electronic Arts announced that former Levi Strauss & Co.'s Blake Jorgensen will be the company's new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer come September.

Jorgensen filled the same roles at Levi Strauss & Co. since 2009, and was Yahoo's CFO prior to that. As EA's CFO, Jorgensen will be responsible for the company's financial operations on a global level.

EA's CEO John Riccitiello praised the decision, stating, "[Jorgensen's] deep understanding of finance and experience in online commerce and entertainment will be instrumental to EA's transformation into digital distribution of game content and services."

If Jorgensen's history with Levi Strauss doesn't lead to some awesome jean jacket DLC for Mass Effect 3, we're going to be majorly disappointed.
