The lights are on
We here at GI are honoring the opening of the 2012 Olympics with our own individual gamer Olympics.
Josh Straub: In addition to going to see The Dark Knight Rises I will also be revisiting some of last year's greatest hits: Star Fox 64 3D, Twisted Metal, and Uncharted 3. Oh and I'll also be watching a little thing called the Olympics. Does that make me old fashioned?
Ali Rapp: This weekend, I'll be tutoring, editing a massive paper, and hosting a birthday party for Harry Potter (don't judge me!), so I won't have much time for games. I do hope to fit in some Skyrim, though. I recently got my conjuration up to level 100, and with the ability to cast two Dremora Lords at once, I'm pretty much invincible. I've also been neglecting Okami…
Jeff Marchiafava: This weekend I plan to continue playing Rainbow Moon, and might pick up Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood again. There’s a good chance I’ll also get sucked into some more Minecraft, and I have a date to play more Borderlands with Jeff Cork and Bryan. Borderlands dates are the best dates.
Tim Turi: Unfortunately I’ll have to put my Final Fantasy VI playthrough on hold this weekend because I’m going camping. However, I’m smuggling my 3DS along. I’m thinking I’ll continue to work on the post-game stuff for Super Mario 3D Land, because I want to finish that up entirely before New Super Mario Bros. 2 arrives.
Andy McNamara: Between bikes rides, Pinball Fx (I must beat Cork's scores!), and a Twin's game, I plan on trying to finish up Quantum Conundrum. If I manage to pull off that feat, then I need to finish up my Dawnguard playthrough in preparation for DarkSiders II. Also will be tending my Castle Age army whenever my phone beeps at me to do more questing.
Kyle Hilliard: This weekend will probably be devoted to a review game, even though I would like to give the new Kingdom Hearts a go and play some more of the Prince of Persia HD collection. My sister has been interning at the Illusion Theater and they are putting on a production written by Bill Corbett of Mystery Science Theatre 3000 fame, so I will be checking that out tonight. I’m also well overdue for a second Dark Knight screening at the local IMAX.
Ben Hanson: This weekend I have very few plans and I think that I need to make the most of it by planning a weekend of gaming. I’m going to start out by going back to Diablo 3, you know, just for an hour or two. Then I’m transitioning over to Resident Evil: Revelations thanks to Tim Turi and his Circle Pad Pro. Every fiber of my being wants to play more Xenoblade, but I’m stuck on a boss near the end of the game and I’m scared of wasting precious gaming hours on a combat treadmill. I also have a hankering for Starcraft 2, so I’ll see who I can recruit for a game. I’m looking at Ben Reeves and Dan Ryckert, but they have lives or something.
Yesterday, I finally watched the first season of The Legend of Korra, but I got carried away and watched the whole thing in one sitting. I really enjoyed it, but now I'm stuck waiting for the next season like everyone else. :(
But, for the weekend, I don't really have any plans. Maybe I'll try and get the rest of the achievements in Analogue: A Hate Story. Maybe I'll finally download the LBP Karting beta and mess around with that. But, if people would stop trying to bother me on Skype, I would love to continue on with my playthrough of The Longest Journey.
My weekend will be Civilization, and perhaps going to see TDKR. Really just recovering from a very long trip where I slept on way to many couches.
im replaying AC: brother hood in prep for AC 3 maybe if my software decides to work i can record my new mc solo series vkidsgaming123 fans watch out its just me with no tutsandallthat to balance me out
I just got ATV Offroad Fury Pro for the PSP. It's really like ATV Offroad Fury 4.
So I'm busy with some PSP stuff right now, along with watching the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
What I'll be doing:
-Driving home finally for good.
-Watching TDKR for the third time most likely with my girlfriend once I'm back in town.
-Olympics and Cheering on Good Ol' USA.
-Waiting to get my hands on Okami HD, but playing the already beautiful original first...
-Finishing my recreation of Florence from ACII in Minecraft. (Finally!)
-Getting psyched for new sequels by playing their older brothers such as Halo 3 and Borderlands.
There's my full weekend. ;-)
Chrome Hounds, The Witcher 2, BlazBlue CS Extend
Heroes of Ruin
The 2012 Olympics, Max Payne 3, Assassin's Creed Revelations, I'll maybe see Ted in theaters, and SW: Battlefront
Disgaea 3 on the ps3. Had it forever, lost my save when my hard drive failed and have been playing it non stop for the last few weeks. I'm addicted to item world (again) and haven't done a story level in a week.
Watching the 2012 Olympics, and replaying some of my games. I don't even have a backlog.
Very busy weekend. I'm currently playing Ratchet and Clank and Amazing Spderman. I also still have to finish KH:recoded to be ready for KH:DDD. Then I want to watch the Olympics and those James Bond movies I still have on my DVR
Borderlands, maybe I'll eventually finish it. Mad Moxxi is making ME mad! Maybe some AC:R or God of War 3. Just picked up Halo Wars Limited Edition and upgraded to the Alan Wake collector's edition, so I may have to start back in on my 1000G campaign for Alan Wake and try some Halo Wars.
This weekend I'll be playing more Final Fantasy Theatrhythm (which has become an obsession at this point) and begin to make significant progress in Dragon's Dogma. I might also play some more Unchained Blades.
Mainly I'm waiting for Kingdom Hearts and Persona 4 Arena to come out though.
Well I ordered Darksiders and Indigo Prophecy off of Amazon last week and I just got them in today. So I plan on starting those two this weekend. I'm especially excited about Indigo Prophecy because I've never played it. Also, I may play more League of Legends seeing as how my friend got me addicted to it.
This weekend I will try and get a variety of games in. I will continue with some skyrim and a little ME3 multiplayer. I have to go through my backlog to see what I have to finish, first that comes to mind is the witcher 2.
Gaming wise this weekend, I had a Friday Fight Fest a few hours ago, playing so many fighting games that I need a brake from that genre. I'll be sitting with Sam & Max, Heavy Rain, and some Arkham City in there as well.
