The lights are on
Blizzard has revealed the release date for the fourth expansion for World of Warcraft, Mists of Pandaria. The company has also unveiled details on its collector's edition, which will be available along with the regular version this September.
The expansion is launching on September 25 for the PC and Mac, and it'll set you back $39.99 whether you pick it up at stores or download it from the safety of your own home. If you consider yourself a megafan, there's also the collector's edition, which adds oodles of in-game extras and additional swag. Blizzard says that for the first time, players will also be able to download the digital content from the collector's edition in a special digital deluxe version. It's priced at $59.99, as opposed to the collector's edition's $79.99, and it doesn't include any of the physical materials from the collector's edition.
Here's what Blizzard says you'll be getting from the digital deluxe edition:
If you pick up the collector's edition, you'll get everything from the digital deluxe edition, as well as the following loot:
Do you think the convenience of the digital deluxe version makes up for not getting the soundtrack, art book, and mouse pad? Does anyone even care about that stuff anymore?

Ooooh, wasnt expecting a September release as its such a late anouncement! but hey, thats good!
Wow, this makes me really happy. I've been reading the fan-sites such as mmo-champion daily for a while now just waiting for the release date. Can't wait! Now Andy and adam HAVE to make respec again for WoW!
nope
Getting the CE for sure! The artbook is always a treat to sift through. :)
War pandas!
Looks stupid.
I clicked on this to see if anyone cared anymore. I have never really been into WOW, but only because it is pay to play. I refuse to play a subscription fee to enjoy a game. I understand why that model is in place, but I can't invest in a game that will one day just disappear. I need that game to be around long after servers get shut down.
That's not a bad price for the collector's edition, really. I might have to get it and start playing WoW again.
