Nintendo Releases A Rough Look At Its Upcoming Schedule

Nintendo laid out a rough idea of what it's planning to release in Japan, Europe, and the United States from July onward as part of its earnings report. There aren't any revelatory details in the document, but the list does provide a glimpse at the differences of both timing and release dates between the regions.

In particular, it's a nice reminder that Japan and Europe are getting the 3DS XL a few weeks before it hits our shores. You know, in case you're interested in that kind of thing. Most of the interesting stuff is followed by the dream-shattering letters "TBD," including the upcoming 3DS Super Smash Bros., Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and Animal Crossing.

  • What's the difference between 2012 2013 and TBD? Luigi's Mansion 2 is going to be amazing. That might be one of my most anticipated titles for the 2012-2013 holiday season. I'm also pumped to play an English version of Professor Layton. That is one of the best franchises ever. Since it has a tablet controller, the Wii U should get a new HD Prof. Layton game. What are some suggestions for puzzles that use the television and tablet in unison?
  • 3DS lineup looks great and we also got more Pokemon, shame we haven't seen more of the WiiU lineup.

  • So many good games.
  • Quite poor. Come on Nintendo, I really want to buy the XL. Give me a reason!!!
  • It's soooo good.

We just need to know WHEN.

  • Was hoping for some Wii U things but this is just fun. Only getting New Super Mario Bros.

  • Pokemon and Layton are all getting marked on my calendar! ^_^

I would love to be able to mark Animal Crossing though.

  • 3DS has a strong lineup right there (especially if you include Pokemon, which can be played on 3DS). I mean Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, Luigi's Mansion, NSMB2, Paper Mario, Professor Layton, AND smash bros(even though it is a ways off). That enough to keep your 3DS busy for a long time. This list doesn't even include games like Castlevania, Kingdom Hearts (which should be out already in some places, and everywhere else in about a week), Project X Zone, Bravely Default, etc. 3DS is quickly amassing a very strong and diverse library.
  • Pretty darn good 3DS lineup if you ask me, cause If I was him I would have married Kate and Ashley
  • Ummm where is Castlevania???? I thought it was going to be released before the end of this year??
  • Where is the Wii U list!

  • Nintendo keeps falling further behind. What a bunch of crap titles. Nintendo will go the way of Sega and stop making consoles. Come on, you know Zelda deserves a better console.
  • I want some Phoenix Wright news!!!!!

  • Come on Nintendo! You give us a giant drought of practically nothing and then throw NSMB2, LM2 and Paper Mario at us all at once. And if you like Professor Layton, New Art Academy and Pokemon then that's there too. I guess I shouldn't be complaining that they are finally coming, but how am I suppose to get them all?
  • I really want Luigi's Mansion 2. I started replaying the original yesterday. Now I just need a 3DS so I can get all these awesome games.

  • Here we go. A list of games that Nintendo has probably had done for years that they plan on trickling out to us. There are several games on this list I'd be interested in, and twice as many TBD that are keeping my arms crossed toward Nintendo. I think I may have gotten to the point where I'm looking forward to them stepping down as a console manufacturer so I can play their games on my phone. Unfortunately, no matter how senseless their moves are, there are several factors that will hold that off for some time.
  • I didnt know that they were working on a smash bros for the 3ds! thats cool though, with so many great games coming out this October Nintendo can take there time. Besides I'm more interested in the WiiU and its line up, which I expect it will be out just in time for Christmas which is perfect in my opinion!

  • AWESOME LINEUP!!! This is why I luv Nintendo!!! Super Smash 3D is gonna be epic!!!

  • I am looking forward to some of these games coming out for the 3DS. I wonder how Professor Layton will utilize 3D to create engaging puzzles.
