The lights are on
Pokemon fans, put down your Nintendo DS and boot up Facebook. Insomniac Games' first social-network game, Outernauts, is all about monster collecting and battling.
My first monster is a white monkey who comes readily equipped with a ferocious "slap" attack. After leveling up once, this adorable killer learned how to throw snowballs.
The game features the great production values you'd expect from an Insomniac game, as well as all of the annoying "share your accomplishments with your friends" messages that come with Facebook interaction. Jump into the game, and let us know what you think of it!
Note: Although the game still says "beta" on its start-up and loading screens, an Insomniac representative says it is no longer in beta.

I'm not playing a game on facebook.
Checking it out now
It doesn't take long to get under your skin. It used the same energy system with the same currency standards... you buy your supplies (including revives) and use all your energy collecting resources and money so you can keep playing. In the meantime you wait or you pay to get more. It's like a pyramid scheme with these games.
Rather, I'll just pay $30 for a (better) Pokemon game and play whenever I want.
