Square Enix isn't finished with Final Fantasy XIII just yet.

On September 1, the company is holding a stage show to celebrate Final Fantasy's 25th anniversary in Tokyo, Japan. One of the events scheduled is an announcement pertaining to the future of Final Fantasy XIII, reports Andriasang.

Let the speculation begin. Is Square revealing additional DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2? Or is the company turning Final Fantasy XIII into a trilogy? My money is on a Final Fantasy XIII-3 announcement.

My guess would be the announcement of FFXIII-3. I didn't know that Metal Gear and Final Fantasy came out in the same year. There are so many anniversaries going around.

My body is ready for XIII-3, I loved both XIII and XIII-2 and I want the conclusion of the story to be done in a big way and not a DLC.

Just give Lightning a Kingdom Hearts style game so we can get rid of all the other characters. It'll just be her and some switchable monster partners in an action-rpg without all the time travel and stuff.

I'm actually hoping it's 13-3... Call me crazy.

Really though, I want some kind of release date or a tid-bit of news for versus 13, it was dissapointing how it was absent from this E3.

Reports from another website saying Vs XIII got cancelled..... NOBODY WANTS XIII-3 SQUARE, if Vs. 13 is indeed cancelled, I will NEVER buy another Square game again, and I will shoot my copy of XIII with my .40 cal Glock then i will burn the pieces.

I'll video tape it too, just so you guys know I'm not joking.
