She looks a little different but I don't think Tina or Jann Lee are actually a newcomers. They're in all the DOA games from what I remember. But, yeah, I'm looking forward to this game for sure.

I am pretty sure Tina has been confirmed since at least E3, I remember watching some game play demos, and she was on the character select screen. Also, was there any doubt that the tag mode would not make it into DOA 5?

Throwing some Virtua Fighter characters into the mix was a good call. I'm thinking Rig will become one of my new favorite characters (my current top three are Bayman, Jann Lee, and Hayabusa).
