Human Element Prequel Is Ouya's First Exclusive Game

The first game being developed exclusively for Ouya is an episodic prequel of Human Element, the first project from Robotoki.

Robert Bowling, the studio's president, says he personally donated $10,000 to the Kickstarter project. The prequel games will center on the zombie outbreak as it begins in the game's universe. The full title, which is expected to launch in 2015, takes place 35 years after the outbreak.

  • It is encouraging to already see exclusive title for the Ouya, the quality of these titles is yet to be seen, but it is a start.

  • Ouya just keeps getting better and better!
  • This guy is amazing. And it shows real promise for the console in general, making it an actual viable contender in the marketplace. Definitely looking forward to this.

  • Ok. Must Buy already.

  • Yep. Totally glad I popped 99$ towards this thing. Now, let's just wait and see who else is ready to jump on the bandwagon. Maybe we can get a Wasteland 2 and a Shadowrun Returns on the Ouya (that name needs to get beaten with a stick, a very large stick made of shame and ham).
  • This is going to be an interesting thing to watch for in the future!

  • meh
  • If I'm presuming correctly, this game is coming out first...

So... wouldn't this be the first installment, and Human Element be a sequel?

(just food for thought, don't kill me)
  • I guess it'll help as a promo for the software and hardware respectively...

  • Excellent choice for a first game. Wonder what the future holds for the console.

  • Oh heck yes, nice to see some developer support in an actual title.

  • Oh Robert...

Well, that's one. We'll see how long that lasts/how many others they get.
  • Hopefully this console makes it.  It might be a breath of fresh air.

  • But when is it coming out? If the main game comes 2015 then this would have to come after to be a prequel, right?
  • hope Ouya is succesful
  • I still not entirely convinced on this platform. I think it sounds pretty cool having an open Android console designed for games. I also like how this console is really trying to push technology forward by going for a cheap all digital hardware model. That said I just don't really see a reason for the console to exist at all. It will eventually depend on the quality of games so until then I'll just adopt a wait and see approach.

  • The Ouya is shaping up to be the best thing that I never asked for.
I mean, I've never heard much about Human Element, but the motivation behind the concept of the console is amazing!
