Namco Announces Release Dates For One Piece: Pirate Warriors And Thundercats

If you're a fan of these classic cartoons/anime series then you'll want to mark these days on your calendar. If you're not, then you're probably asking yourself, "What game is this?"

One Piece: Pirate Warriors is based on the popular (we'll give them the benefit of a doubt here) anime series. Players jump into the role of Luffy and other pirates then team up with other members from the Straw Hat crew to defeat wave after wave of enemies in both online and offline co-op modes.The game commemorates the 15th anniversary of the One Piece manga and anime franchise by Eiichiro Oda. One Piece: Pirate Warriors releases exclusively on the PlayStation Network on September 25.

Thundercats fan we can associate with a little more. Fans of this revolutionary and entirely flawless animated series should mark their calendars for September 25. This new Nintendo DS game follows the plot of the new animated series and sees Lion-O battling Mumm-Ra and his forces of evil in a side scrolling adventure.

    One Piece: Pirate Warriors sounds terrible. It's gonna be nothing but a badly made Horde Mode. I might buy the Thundercats game purely for nostalgia purposes. But probably not.

    DAMN Japs and and their exclusives.the only reason sony has so many exclusives is because without them they would not have lasted that long.I STILL like the way publishers and devs like to say that games should be played by and enjoyed by all but they INSIST in making exclusives.This is just a guess but that is a little contradictory.(Sorry if i spelled that wrong)

    I watched One Piece all the time! Thundercats I never heard of until I saw it as a new series on Cartoon Network, but it's an awesome show. Zatch Bell and Sailor Moon seem like a good candidates for this treatment as well.

    Okay. For someone who has never seen the show, or knows wtf is going on there...this is the freakiest picture I've ever seen on the news page. I want it to go away, it scares me.

    Wasn't there rumors that the Thundercats was cancelled? If so and the new game is based off the new series, does that mean it's not cancelled?

    Lol. It's the most popular by a HUGE margin overseas. It doesn't get much in the way of respect over here, though :[

    P.S. When I say HUGE margin, I mean it regularly sells nearly double both Naruto and Bleach(the other two of the 'big three' over there).

    Believe me, One Piece is super popular. But, I was hoping that it was going to be a crossover fighting game. :(

    The new Thundercats cartoon is amazing. Don't think I'll be picking up the game, though.
