The lights are on
5th Cell and Mojang, the developers behind Hybrid and Minecraft respectively, have announced a partnership where players can unlock features to be used in each game on the Xbox 360.
Once Hybrid players reach level 20, they will have access to a Creeper helmet or Steve helmet from Minecraft, depending on what faction they decide to go with. Minecraft players will able to take advantage of Hybrid themed avatars.
Also in the screens below, you can see the victory helmets offered to winning Hybrid players, and the Bag O' Shame helmet offered to losing Hybrid players.
Hybrid, the tactical third-person shooter, is coming exclusively to Xbox 360 on August 8.

You thought Creepers were scary in Minecraft? The complete opposite, take a Creeper, give it a jet-pack and you have a problem.

Novelty skins... oh joy. (sigh).... I don't know, maybe I'm being too cynical in my old age? I just tire of these nonsensical tie-ins that, to me, detract from the actual value of a game by trying to incorporate another unconnected franchise in the most garish fashion possible. I have no interest in Minecraft, but I certainly planned to buy and play Hybrid; why do I need the option to wear a joke-mask, when the designers could have used that time and energy to design a high-end helmet skin that was actually relevant to the world the game is set in? Like I said before, I'm mincing details and grumbling like the codger I am. That aside, the "bag o' shame" tickles me just right.

The game still doesn't impress me.
If a creeper can now FLY to you, it's best you just stay at your obsidian fortress.
This game looks fun as far as I can tell.I might get it depending on gameplay.
