Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut Included On Wii U Version

The ending of Mass Effect 3 was controversial to the point that EA and BioWare released a free Extended Cut DLC segment to help give the ending more context. The Wii U version of the game will include the Extended Cut on the disc.

Speaking to Siliconera, ME 3 producer Michael Gamble confirmed the news.

EA announced the game for the launch of Nintendo's upcoming system at E3 in June, but no further details about the title are known.

For more on the Extended Cut, check out Joe's impressions (SPOILER ALERT).

  • Well thats nice

  • Very nice indeed. :D

  • Good to hear! Trust me, it was a pain downloading that 1.85 GB download into my flashdrive D:... Maybe my internet sucks, but how long did it take you guys to?
  • awesome!

  • It still won't make me buy a Wii U.....
  • Ok? It seems like common sense, but maybe that's just me.

  • Meh, will anyone that hasn't already played it by now be picking this up for Wii U? Probably not. This news is as useful as a seventh nipple.
  • ok i commented. can I vote in the polls now?
  • lol they don't get the two good iterations of the series, they just get left with the bad one and a pathetic attempt to fix it. lolololol
  • Trust me, when a caterpillar says "I'll be back in 5", he really means 5 months. Those darn creatures are so much like men that they probably munch on doritos in their a-shirts while watching the beetle game.
  • This comes as no surprise since they want Arkham City and Assassin's Creed on there as well...

  • I think this is where the Wii U is going to struggle. I think most people who wanted to play Mass Effect 3 or Batman Arkham City, have already played it on another system. What they are really going to need are some 3rd party exclusives.
  • The Wii U is going to fail SOOOOOO hard. It's like Microsoft releasing the Xbox 360 all over again, but with a tablet controller, while Sony moves on to the PS4.
  • You still don't need it to have a good ending. It was always great.
  • Now I'm seeing a full product!

  • They can't honestly expect us to buy it for that reason alone.  I mean, that's free DLC.  They'll have to include things like extra content and actually priced DLC on disc in order to get people to buy it.

  • I'm sure all five people who buy the WII U will be very grateful
