Battlefield 4 Confirmed

Electronic Arts hasn't officially revealed anything about Battlefield 4, but the game is definitely happening. And if you pre-order the Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition, you'll get access to the Battlefield 4 beta when it starts next year.

Gamers must pre-order MOH Warfighter prior to its release on October 23 (on 360, PS3, and PC) to attend the beta, which EA is saying will happen sometime in the fall of 2013.

"Though Battlefield and Medal of Honor Warfighter each offer players a completely unique experience," said Frank Gibeau, president of EA Labels, "they are united by their underlying technology base – Frostbite. These are two of the hottest shooters, coming together to deliver a one-two punch of action, intensity, and shooter entertainment.”

EA has also just released a new trailer for Medal of Honor Warfighter that features multiplayer commentary from one of the developers. Check it out below. Note: The screenshot above is not from Battlefield 4.

  • I'll do it
  • Haha. Nice one to get BF fans to buy MoH

    Jokes aside:
I was a huge fan of the original Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and all its expansions (Spearhead, Breakthrough) All i want is the Omaha Beach map and ill buy this bad boy right away! :D Shame that WW2 games is a dying breed. Really loved those, and i learned alot from them and they made me interested in the war.

I hope they are really making an effort to do something different then the rest of the modern shooters out on the market today. But please, for god sake, bring back Omaha Beach!! :)
  • This is disappointing. BF3 is still going strong. I would still get BF4, but it is way to soon. Wait till Next gen consoles for BF I say...Consoles can wait, release on PC first. NOW-I am no "PC Elitist" But BF4 would just be even more hindered by dinosaur consoles if it's already being made, so just PC for a year or 2...
  • I'm happy they're not just pushing out their games but I'm sure ea put them on some sort of deadline. And I definitely dont like the alternating moh/bf like how cod is but I guess whatever works for them, just don't skimp on the quality for bf4
  • Sounds like EA is taking a nod from Activision and we are going to see a switch off between MoH and Battlefield every year. Yikes. I love the Battlefield franchise, but it is entirely possible this could get real ugly real fast...
  • whaaaaaat!
  • I don't really see the point of Battlefield 4 releasing next year. I think that we're about to see a significant drop in game quality if they decide to push out titles every other year. They should be focusing on Bad Company 3 and keeping Battlefield 4 in the works, but on the back burner. They were just starting to gain some ground in their war for best shooter, now they're on track to give it all back.
  • I hope Battlefield 3 Premium players has access as well.
  • .....I emailed you guys about this last night

  • Too soon!

  • Yep, a lot more epeople will purchase this now.

  • Probably will only get you two days of early access.

  • That is an easy way to bring up sales, lol.

  • Battlefield 4? What happened to Bad Company 3?
  • If the new xbox is being launched next fall as the rumors seem to suggest. I would imagine that BF4 would be a prime candidate to be a launch title. I would definitely be ready for higher player counts and improved frame rate on a new more powerful console.
  • BF4 should come for next gen consoles
  • Well, well. What do we have here EA, taking notes from Activision and going the route of yearly shooter releases? Shame. BF3 seemed to be taking steps forward, but this would seem to be a step back.
  • All these sequels, they become overbearing after awhile. A Battlefield 4? I don't know about that. It's pretty much the campaign that changes if not the multiplayer, but as far as a shooter goes, it's the same game. Like FIFA or Madden, just a couple new features that supposedly make it a "new" game every year.

  • I was actually hoping for Bad Co. 3. I've enjoyed the campaigns for Bc1 & 2 much more than BF3. But it's EA so what can you do?
