Kid Icarus: Uprising Dev Closes
Project Sora, the Japanese development team behind Kid Icarus: Uprising for the Nintendo 3DS, announced it closed its doors last month.
The team published a statement on its website saying it closed on June 30. The website will remain up until July 31. The studio formed in 2009 by Masahiro Sakurai and his company Sora Ltd, which is now helping create the Super Smash Bros. title for Wii U in collaboration Namco Bandai.
Nintendo also had a 72 percent financial stake in Project Sora. Kid Icarus: Uprising is the only game the studio would create. A reason for its closure was not provided at this time.
