The lights are on
Update: Activision confirmed pricing for the game: $39.99 for Xbox 360 and PS3 and $29.99 for 3DS.

Activision's pulling back the curtain on its E3-announced deal with Angry Birds maker Rovio.IGN reports that the trilogy will include Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio (not the newer Angry Birds Space) for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and 3DS this holiday."You can think of the game as the ultimate collector’s edition," Rovio executive vice president of games Petri Järvilehto tells the site. "There are new cinematics, extras and other entertaining content. In addition all of the existing material has been uprezzed and re-treated for the high-resolution and big screen." Strangely, the game will be boxed up for retail instead of being downloadable. Move, Kinect, and StreetPass will all be supported.

Well it was only a matter of time, when I worked at toysrus I can't tell how many parents asked for Angry Birds on the consoles.
It's weird that it's not downloadable, but I suppose many of the people that would purchase it are more likely to be at a retail store.
For everyone saying 'it won't sell', I think you're wrong. It definitely won't do as well as the mobile versions, however I know my entire family loves Angry Birds, and I think they have a wide enough market to be able to make some profits off of this.
Theory: This pricing model is a social experiment on consumer intelligence. I wonder if this will be another NBA Jam situation.
Move, Kinect, and StreetPass: With these I can now see why the price. Angry Birds with these tools would be something new and I'll bet it will be one of the best games for the Move, Kinect, and StreetPass. Flinging birds with our hands now literally :)
Bought Angry Birds for 1€ on PS3 over a year ago... Who came up with this idea ? (oO)
I would have never expected such a fine and noble corporation like Activision to pull this sort of debauchery. I am in disbelief *sarcasm
*** OFF! You must be crazy!
40 bucks for 3 angry birds game and just some updated content?..Pff they'll need to lower the price if they want to create a profit.I just don't see how many people will actually buy this when they probably have it on they're phones, tablets, etc.
$39.99 for the XBOX and PS3!? $29.99 for the 3DS!? That is insane! You can pay $3 to get all of those versions on the App Store and you have to pay ten times the price on the 3DS and more than ten times the price on the XBOX and PS3! This project is bound to fail. No offence, Rovio.
I think I'll just stick with my mobile version.
What?!?! No Vita version? Pathetic..
That is such a ripoff.
How they wouldn't do a digital version is beyond me. Also why anyone would actually pay for it when it's free on Android is also beyond me.
Derp $3
Couldn't you buy it 15 times on an iphone for the same amount?
I thought the Angry Bird folks announced their game and other app games would be the end of consoles. Guess they were wrong. 100% positive I will not get it, also 100% positive this game will die LONG before consoles will!
i honesly am not exicted for it
So it is Connect Ready. All you have to do is throw yourself in front of your tv to kill the pigs.
NOOOOOO! Aww man I am so tired of seeing this *** game every where I look. Posters, shirts, hats, plushies and now it's going to be on Xbox and PS3?! I can't believe it. 3DS sure, but not Xbox and PS3. That's a waste of awesome that can be spent on another game.
