EVO 2012 Wrap Up

If you follow eSports to any degree, chances are you know that EVO is the largest fighting tournament in the world and that it was held over the last three days in Las Vegas. The finals were held throughout Sunday and lasted well into the night.

There were numerous upsets and surprises throughout the tournament. Infiltration, a well regarded Street Fighter IV player, exploded to an impressive victory over Daigo Umehara, who is also known as the best Street Fighter player in the world. Infiltration went on to face Gamerbee in the Grand Final. 

Though Street Fighter is considered by many to be the pinnacle of fighting games, one of the most nail-biting moments of EVO 2012 came from the King of Fighters Grand Final between Mad KOF and Bala. The balance of power shifted back and forth many times and the crowd can be heard going nuts with each knock out.

There were great moments in each of the tournaments in Evolution 2012 many occurring in the Grand Finals. If you happened to miss the Grand Finals of these excellent games, the results are as follows (spoilers are below the videos):
