The lights are on
Update: Halo series developer 343 Industries has reportedly denied that a Halo 2 Anniversary Edition is currently in the works.
The developer reportedly quashed the rumor via an internal company resource for retailers called Microsoft ExpertZone. "We are not working on that at this time. We are kind of busy," said an unidentified 343 representative.

Original Story: According to the rumor section of the latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine, a remake of Halo 2 is currently in development at 343 Industries.
According to the magazine, "Following the success of remake Halo Anniversary, 343 Industries has now started development of Halo 2 Anniversary." There is no real evidence or sources to substantiate the claim, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see Halo 2 get a high-definition remake. Maybe a remake could afford Halo 2 the opportunity to have a real ending.

This would be great, definitely my favorite game in the series.
I'd buy it.
probably launch game for the neXtbox in 2014 for Halo 2's 10 year anniversary
Halo AE should have been a 1200 MP download. I was hoping the MP would have been just as awesome as back in the PC days but it turned out to be... Reach.
If this is true they should release a pack with this game, the first Anniversary game, Halo 3, ODST, and Reach. So I can get them ALL in one fell swoop
