Mysterious Shirt Points To Bungie's Future Project

Saturday was Bungie Day and a mysterious shirt appeared in Bungie's online store calling itself, "an enigma from our future release."

Bungie has been quiet about what it is working on since leaving Microsoft and teaming up with Activision. We now know that the letters FWC serve some kind of role and we also learned, perhaps in conjunction with Bungie Day, that Sir Paul McCartney is working with Bungie, presumably on its next project.

You can check out the shirt with the mysterious letters by clicking here.

  • COVER STORY! Oh wait...

  • Sir Paul McCartney is a Sir!
  • This link says "sir" Paul McCartney... and the article still says "mr".. consistency please.

  • Saturday was Bungie Day, not Friday.
  • Future Warfare clones or Fan War Chronicles
  • Don't you wanna swim with me don't you wanna feel my bones on your bones its only natural

  • Woohoo! I was finally able to contribute something for the news here! I hope Bungie is getting close to announcing their game. I have been lonely without a new game from them...
  • Whatever it is, I don't care. After reading the interview in GI of the Activision Vs. West and Zampella, I have no respect for Activision or the games that they publish.

I could maybe make an exception for something Bungie creates, but it would have to be really great.
  • FWC: Future War Cult/Council, according to trademark extrapolation.
Also, there were two other important shirts put on sale: That of Dead Orbit, the black circle on a white background, and that of New Monarchy, the white triangle on a red background.

These are thought to be factions that the player will join in Bungie's new game.
  • Future Working Composition? It could reference to the McCartney music.

  • Judging from the facts I have here: Bungie is a game developer Bungie made the original Halo titles This news is on a game website. I believe that Bungie is working on a video game. Sure of it.
  • Perhaps an organization within the game?

  • There were actually three new Destiny-related shirts added to the Bungie Store. They are supposedly connected to factions in Destiny. Rumor has it that this one stands for "Future War Cult", while the other two shirts have the logos for "Dead Orbit" and "New Monarchy". There were also new avatars for Bungie.net users representing "Seven Seraphs" (the one I'm using here on GI) and "Osiris".

This is all speculation of course, but Bungie fans do some pretty hard-core speculating on Bungie Day.
  • wouldn't it be funny if this turned out to be...a sports game? and these are the logos for the different teams? hilarious!
  • Doesn't look hardcore to me. :(

  • sort of reminds me of some wipeout stuff

  • I thought Bungie day was on saturday?

  • Huh, wonder what it means.
  • Well thats cool but I didnt know that there was a bungie day
  • What ever it is it better be good.
