Frito-Lay's Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure promotion delivers a lesson: You don't always get what you want. Specially marked packages of Frito-Lay's Flavor Mix sample pack come with a mail-in voucher for an exclusive Skylander Sidekick figure. There are four figures to collect. but you may not get your first pick.
The scan below shows that you have to rank the figures according to your preference. If you have your heart set on Trigger Snappy and he ends up being in high demand, you may get Whisper Elf instead, as "Frito-Lay cannot guarantee that you will get your choice." Presumably, ranking all figures as "1" won't work. Although these figures are technically "free," a $2 shipping charge is required, and each figure requires a UPC symbol from the Flavor Mix pouch, which retails for $6.99. The figure will be mailed to you within 8 to 10 weeks of the voucher being mailed away. All vouchers must be postmarked by November 2 and received by November 12.
Long story short, if you want to get the figures you want (or all of them), act quickly.

Doesn't surprise me. It's typical of these commercialized food product "prizes" that always promise more than they can give. Learned my lesson a long time ago.

I played this game once with my nephews while visiting my brother. Though I only played the competitive multiplayer it was rather fun and I've been thinking about getting it for my Xbox 360 or my Nintendo 3DS for a while now.
I'm a sucker for promotions and actually want all four of these. Something tells me Ebay is going to be BOOMING with these things.
