The lights are on
The epic continuation of the Halo series is due in November and, according to 343 Studios, it's almost done -- but fans of the series may have to clean off their hard drives to get the full experience. The game will require an 8GB install to experience the full multiplayer, which includes your traditional PvP matches, called War Games, and a new mode, called Spartan Ops. The latter mode features a co-op mode that will be be given new episodes each week. The full install size has not been revealed, but it is recommended that players completely install the game to get the full experience.

8 gigs? That's 2.5 Skyrim's...
not too shocking, think about how PC games like Max Payne 3 take up a whopping 20+ gigs of space
Gbs! Get ya Gbs here folks!
Man I hope some of that data is mainly for forge. I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT FORGE!!
daaaaamn...
i got one of them new 250gig ones and still have like 200 left so halo 4 is more then welcome to 8gig of it :)
If this means that the maps for multiplayer will load quickly, and at an equal rate for all players, than this is great. Nothing like having someone with a scratched disc in Halo 3 preventing you from playing a certain map...
Most of the new xboxS models only have 4gb of space!! This is going to screw so many people over!
I'm not sure how I really feel about this decision... On the bright side, there is a really good chance that the multiplayer gameplay will be 100% worth it (If your a Halo fan)! But the fact that it takes up so much hard drive space just for the multiplayer is not good news for Halo fans that don't have that kind of hard drive space.
I've still got space
I have well enough space, but 8GB is still a lot of memory.
need a new hard drive already anyway
I'm not surprised one bit, guess I need to make sure I have enough space now.
