Total War: Rome II's Live-Action Trailer

There are many ways to rule, and developer Creative Assembly's RTS PC title Total War: Rome II explores some of them: Tyranny, betrayal, leadership, and more. Check out this live-action trailer for the game's recent announcement.

Although these actors aren't in the game, the developer is promising more cinematic real-time battles to go along with the series' turn-based strategy.

Total War: Rome II comes out for PC sometime in 2013.

  • This...will be glorious.
  • I don't understand why games have live-action trailers.
  • for te glory of rome!!!!!
  • Live action trailers don't really appeal to me, just like super high quality graphics in introductory scenes that are far beyond anything you'll experience in the game, it just seems kind of pointless to me.
  • So awesome

  • I have a love/hate relationship with live action trailers

  • Awesome! Roma Victoria~

  • Wow, that was one of the better trailers that I've seen in a while!

  • That was a great trailer!

  • I hope they have hero characters like Boudica.

Pinning William Wallace against King Edward in Medieval II Kingdoms was amazing.. no matter how many of my crusaders were decimated.

Reminds me.. Medieval 3.. get on that, Creative.
  • That was actually really good.

  • yep.....EZIO RETURN

  • That was epic!

  • God: "You were killed by a female assassin sent by your brother."

Dead Roman: "Doesn't matter. Had sex."

  • After they did Medieval 2, I said: now they're going to do Shogun 2 and Rome 2. After Rome 2, what will they do? I hope, I really hope, they move to WW1 (trench warfare could be pretty boring and hard to implement in a Total War game though), WW2 (planes and tanks would be pretty different, but it's still fast paced, so TW could handle it), Modern (probably won't happen, but would be a blast), Future (completely unlikely, but yet again awesome). Rome TW was always my favorite, even after the remake of Shogun 2, so I'm glad they're finally modernizing it.
  • I hope the game will live up to the first.

  • "Who would have thought the old man would have had so much blood in him?" So it looks like they're putting an emphasis on the specialized units and player choice, huh?

  • I hate these kind of trailers, cause they do the game no justice, or make it look better then it is....
