Capcom Tossing Another Edition Of Resident Evil 6 On The Pile

As if the decision to even pick up Resident Evil 6 in the first place weren't already hard enough, Capcom is releasing a load of different collector's editions to pick from. The company has revealed another bundle, which includes a hoodie, steel-book packaging, and more for the game in Europe.

Take a look at the contents below, straight from Capcom Europe.

  • Resident Evil 6 game
  • Zombie Steel Book
  • Exclusive Resident Evil 6 hardback artbook showing concept art from the game
  • Resident Evil 6 Avatar DLC code for 360 owners OR an RE6 Dynamic Theme for PS3 owners
  • Ivy University, Tall Oaks hooded sweatshirt (one size)
  • ‘The RE6 forces emblems’ – High quality enamelled zinc alloy emblems of the three main protagonists squad insignias, mounted and set in a limited numbered frame authenticated with signatures from Senior producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi and RE6 Director Eiichiro Sasaki. A must have piece for any fan of Resident Evil!
  • All of the above amazing goodies are bundled together in the lenticular ‘Needle Bomb’ collectors box (as seen in the RE6 announce trailer)

There's no word yet on whether this edition will be heading to the U.S. or how much it'll cost. It wouldn't be the first time that Capcom kept a limited-edition release exclusive to Europe (remember Dead Rising 2's Outbreak Edition, which included a 12" zombie figurine?). If it did make it to our shores, it would join the game's Anthology Edition. That one might be pretty nifty, but it's trumped by this Japan-only release, which includes a leather jacket. It's about $1,300, too.

  • resident evil is a good series and all but I hardly think anyone in japan or anywhere else would pay more than a hundred dollars for a ccollectors edition of that game let alone $1,300!!! Get real. also FIRST!!!
  • All I want is the game...
(He said while aiming an RPG at the final enemy)
  • I'm still not sure about this game, i mean walking is nice, but no lasers? Thats not Resident Evil, thats a generic Third Person Shooter.
  • Lots of cool bonuses! I wonder how the game will turn out, though :P

  • I was gonna buy a car but to hell with that I'm buying this

  • I'm a sucker for limited editions and Resident Evil is one of my favorite series so I'm more than likely to get this whatever it costs.

  • I think I'm going to go with the Anthology Edition. I mean, we play games for... games, right?
  • sigh
  • Whoa... I bet this game will be epic but I won't get it.

  • Hopefully it comes to the US. I'm still peeved about not being able to pre-order the Ultimate Loot hunter Edition of Borderlands 2, so I could us a good collector's edition.

  • So many collector's editions. I really need to look into all of them and figure out which are worth the money.

  • I hope the Anthology Edition is not the only one we get, i think im in love with this version. but if it ends up being the only one i'll still get it even though i have every RE game.....I'm a junkie when it comes to RE =D

  • wow. I wish I had money to waste.

  • $1300?!?!?!?!?

  • ...wow! If money was no object I would totally get this...

  • All that extra stuff is nice, but when you consider the game already costs $60 at release, why would I then want to throw down another $50-$???? on top of that for items that will eventually make their way into a plastic storage bin in my crawl space?  Just give me a bug free game at release, that's all the bonus I need.

  • yayyy
