The lights are on
Fez received a patch yesterday that fixed a huge number of bugs, but inadvertently created one that corrupted save files.
After posting an update on its blog with a huge list of fixes, Polytron followed up with another post saying, "There is an issue that seems fairly widespread where the save file can be seen as corrupted by the game after installing the patch. We’re floored that this wasn’t found in testing."
After that posting, another went up saying "Microsoft has pulled the patch out of LIVE for now, so at least the problem won’t affect new users." If you download the patch and experienced problems, you can clear the cache on your 360, which should revert you back to pre-patched Fez, but is not a guaranteed fix. Polytron is currently on the case trying to get everything sorted out.

I can wait for the patch, its worth it
Strange that the testing didn't find this. I thought MS in particular was really meticulous about these things.
Well I hope they get it fixed.
Oops... hope they get it re-patched soon.
Kind of glad that I haven't played Fez in the last week. But I wouldn't mind losing my save file. Fez is one of the few puzzle games that I can say I legitimately loved.
just 100% this last night. Sooo glad my file didn't get messed up
yo dawg I heard you like patches so-nevermind....
That's pretty lame. How long was the patch out before it was pulled?
How would you not have found that during testing? Oh the flaws of some game testers...
Damn Japanese and their shoddy rigs... oh wait!
You don't say
