Rainbow Moon Gets Release Date

Developer SideQuest Studios is finally nearing a launch for its ambitious PSN strategy/RPG.

Word came in this week that publisher EastAsiaSoft has set a release date for the game. Players will be able to dive into the story of Rainbow Moon in North America on July 10th. The game will cost $14.99.

Along with the release date announcement came news that the game will have 20 downloadaable content packs in the first month of release, some free and some for a small fee, but EastAsiaSoft was quick to point out that these microtransactions are not required to complete or enjoy the game.

Rainbow Moon has been on our radar for awhile. The attractive visuals and focus on storytelling caught our eye, but more than anything else, it's exciting to see an honest to goodness new strategy/RPG on the way to PlayStation 3 players.

You can check out the trailer for the game below, or head over to the game's official site for more info.

  • Been looking for a goodd downloadable strategy game, this fits the bill

  • I can not wait.

I'm easily looking forward to this game as much as I am to Borderlands 2!

Hope this game makes its way over to the Vita as some point. I'd love to play this on the go and on the can.
  • This is the first I've heard of this game, is it some kind of Harvest Mood spinoff?
  • Xbox, NEEDS Strategy RPG's badly.

  • Looks like a decent RPG.

  • Glad to have a release date finally. It looks like a great strategy RPG and it's pretty cheap too. Will hopefully hold me over until the XCOM reboot.
  • A vita release would be nice of this.
  • Cant wait actually. This game looks awesome.

  • Does look cool. I'd probably be more excited about this type of game if I didn't have an iphone and these are released seemingly daily though. still, will be good to play a well polished version. Have to agree with others as well, think they're missing a trick if they don't relesae this on vita!

  • This looks pretty cool. And I'm a sucker for turn-based strategy/rpg combos.
