DLC will include old characters from past Fire Emblems. so far Japan's list includes: Marth, Roy, Leaf, Micaiah, Alm, Elincia, Erika, and Cellica. The only one's we've seen in american released FE are Marth, Micaiah, Elincia, and Erika, and the only reason people know Roy is through Super Smash Bros. So well see who makes it into this version. Once downloaded them, you fight them and when defeated you can recruit them into your army. Each DLC cost about 350-400 yen each (roughly $4.50-5.00) a character. Each character also is done by a number of different manga, and video game artist so characters of DLC may look somewhat different from in game characters.

Well this just means I'll have to do the sensible thing and buy a 3DS.

I've been a fan of the series since I played Fire Emblem (VII) on the the good ol' GBA. I even liked the two Radiance titles, though I found the preachiness of the two approaching intolerance levels. I look forward to new FE game.  

Hmm.... You think this will get the GBA Fire Emblems into Nintendo Shop? Personally, I hope so. Of course, I'm also hoping for a remake of VII (the first FE title to come to NA) that combines it with VI, (which never made it to NA, and from what I understand, VII is a prequel to VI), for a really cool HD-Remake (is that the correct buzzword?) title.
