Fire Emblem: Awakening Coming 2013

Nintendo confirmed Fire Emblem: Awakening is coming to the 3DS in North America next year. The title was announced for an overseas release at E3, but now we know it's not arriving in 2012.

Like New Super Mario Bros. 2, Fire Emblem is also getting download content. Details are still unknown at this time, however.

  • Wow! great news

  • Knowing Nintendo's treatment of 3ds games it will come out in December 2013.

  • The textures for the floor look a bit bad. the 3ds can do better can't it?
  • yes yes YES Im overjoyed by this news but now saddened thinking about how I don't actually own a 3DS.
  • Can't wait. Hopefully it is not as bad as Shadow Dragon was.
  • I was kinda hopping this would have gotten released in the fall or winter... oh well gives me more time to save.

  • I was really hoping this would come out this year. Stupid localization process!

  • I know one Shinzo who is super excited for this.
  • Serenesforest.net already has dlc info and it's pretty amazing.

  • DLC will include new characters from previous games in the series, such as Roy, Ike, and a few others. They'll come with a specific mission that has to be completed to unlock them in the game.

I'd try to find my source for this but I'm quite sure it comes from Japan and is unreadable for us Americans. A friend of mine who can read Japanese showed me screenshots from some magazine with updated art for a lot of old characters and their in-game models.

Go to fireemblemempire.com/forums and check out the main news topic; it's got all the DLC information I've seen.
  • good

  • This saddens me. I hope it's early 2013.

  • I wish I could have this nicer screened 3DS instead of the regular one......

  • Sounds....interesting...

  • F*** YEA!!!

  • Hopefully it's an early 2013 release like January or February. So glad this is coming!

  • The DLC seems to be maps where you can recruit people from the previous games. The first one was a remade version of the first map from the first game where you can recruit Marth to your team.
  • I happy that Awakening is comeing to the U.S. as long as the world doesn't end befor then... I can wait

  • Sadly, I've never played a Fire Emblem game, even though Nintendo has been making games for the 25 years I've been around. I'm really looking forward to playing this!
