The lights are on
Nintendo revealed the 3DS XL, a revision of the original 3DS handheld that boasts a 90 percent extra viewing area.
The top screen measures 4.88 inches and the lower screen is now 4.18 inches. It also offers longer battery life. The memory card is also being increased to 4 GB. The 3DS XL will include an AC adapter in North American but not in Japan. It will have to be purchased separately, but you can still use other adapters from other Nintendo devices.
The new handheld is coming in Black, Black x Blue, and Black x Red on August 19 in North America for $199. It releases on July 28 in Japan and Europe.
Correction: Nintendo of America confirmed the 3DS XL includes an AC Adapter. The story was updated.
Wow now they r makeing 3ds Xl sweet
My question is whytf they didn't do this in the first place?!?!
Wow, that's big! But I'm not going to spend over $200 to just get a bigger screen.
will it hurt my hands less when i play, that's what i wanna know
It's bigger in more ways than one!
And I thought the Vita was big. This looks like a small laptop...
That... Is very big. Well I hope we can trade in our 3DS for the XL cause it wouldn't feel worth it. Also playing SSB on that... I could see that happening now.
Thats cool for all the people who want the game system to be bigger but Im fine with the regular size one
You can't even call this a freaking handheld anymore...
Still no second "analog stick" huh?
Did the DSi sell well? I was never interested in it, wasn't aware it boosted sales enough to warrant such a quick release of a 3DS version.
This one looks a bit better. It's massive though. No extra circle pad, and no support for the CPP? Odd choice. If they make a CPP for the XL, this thing will be monstrous.
its a little differ ant from the regular 3ds
I literally bought my 3DS a month ago.
Just got my 3ds a few months ago. Sooo not gonna buy this.]
